QIAU's ROV Team Represents Iran in the World Competitions to be Held in Canada.

The ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) from Qazvin Islamic Azad University was the sole Iranian team that could qualify for participation in the world competitions in Canada.

100 teams from reputable universities took part in the qualification stage for this high-profile event and teams from universities such as Arizona, MIT, Washington, Ohio, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Austin Texas, Hong Kong(china),Maritime(Russia), and Qazvin Islamic Azad University could qualify for these competitions.

35 teams will compete in this event which will be held in Saint John, Canada from 25-27 June. This event will be sponsored by reputable firms and organizations such as NASA, Shell, Peugeot, General Motors, Asus, MPC, ISI, IEEE, and DEEP.

QIAU's ROV team has achieved five first-place awards in International RoboCup IranOpen Competitions and will participate as the sole representative of Iran in Canada.

ROVs can be used in oil industries for detecting faults of underwater pipelines and navigating the underwater areas where human cannot access.
