Introduction the Faculty:
Architecture, as an academic field of study, was added to Q.I.A.U`s degree programmes in 1995 and the classes were held in the present Faculty of Associate Diploma.
Gradually, with the increase of the number of students and the demand for better educational resources, the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering was inaugurated in February 2000 and during the second semester of the same year, students began to enroll at the levels of MA and BA in Architecture and the level of BSc in Civil Engineering.
Urban Planning as a new field of study at the level of MSc (discontinuous) was also added to the Faculty`s academic degree programms in 2003. All related fields of study at the level of Associate Diploma including Architecture, Topography, and Concrete Buildings & Building in Public Affairs have been held in the faculty since September 2005.

The faculty Facilities:
14 Classes, 14 Workshops, 1 Thesis Oral Presentation Room , 1 Computer Site, 3 Audio-Visual Centers
2574 Students, 146 Professors, 12 Academic Staff in Civil Engineering, 14 Academic Staff in Architecture, 4 Academic Staff in Urban Planning
Associate Diploma`s in; Architecture, Building in Public Affairs, Concrete Buildings, and Topography-Geodesy
BSc in Architecture & Civil Engineering
MA in Achitecture & Urban Planning
Currently, the seven heads of the departments together with the two coordinators of the faculty of Architecture & Civil Engineering and the class affairs agent are located at room 306.
